'The Village of Lovers' global streaming release now live!
Experience our award-winning film about community, trust & eros.
My life is divided into to halves.
Before my time at Tamera Healing Biotope in Portugal...and after my time there.
As a filmmaker, for many years I felt like I was swimming upstream with the question:
How did we get to the brink of global catastrophe?
Is there an innate flaw in humanity?
I came to understand that "something happened" before us that modern society is in the wake of. Some have called it "The Great Forgetting."
What has been forgotten?
That we are life. That life is intelligent and fragile and sacred. And we decoupled from this truth at our considerable peril.
Thankfully, not everyone has forgotten. With deep gratitude to indigenous peoples the world over, they have not forgotten.
And in pockets around the world, colonized folks are beginning to remember.
Tamera is such a place where the crystallization of a culture based on truth, trust, and village has been re-kindled and tended for over 30 years.
From my first visit in 2015, to my last visit with my family in 2019, I am forever changed.
They are not perfect, but I know what is now possible.
It's possible for humans to re-align with pulsing vitality of eros.
Climate chaos is the ultimate feedback loop.
Life is calling for us to release our collective Dominator dysfunction and re-awaken our Lover.
Tamera offers a pathway.
And our film The Village of Lovers offers a transmission in service to this awakening.
Our final planetary premiere is now live. You are welcome to stream from anywhere in the world.
To mark the milestone, we’re also going to be releasing a Director’s Commentary on the film in the next few days. This is a candid conversation between Julia Maryanska, John Wolfstone and I as we discuss the making of the film & project.
This is available as part of the Fugitive Futures Summit we’re convening at the end of this month (July 29-Feb 2).
Thank you to all who supported us in this journey.
I’d love to hear your comments if you’ve seen the film or after you stream it!
